Ab sofort ist am Institut für Recht und Ökonomik der Universität Hamburg im Rahmen des von der Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) geförderten internationalen Graduiertenkollegs "Ökonomik der Internationalisierung des Rechts"
die Stelle einer wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiterin oder eines wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiters in einem post-doc-Arbeitsverhältnis zu besetzen.
Die Vergütung erfolgt nach der Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L. Die wöchentliche Arbeitszeit beträgt 39 Stunden. Die Befristung des Vertrages erfolgt auf der Grundlage von § 2 Abs. 1 Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz und ist vorgesehen für 2 Jahre.

Zentrales Thema des Graduiertenkollegs ist die Anwendung der Methoden und Konzepte der ökonomischen Analyse auf Fragestellungen des internationalen Rechts bzw. dessen Interaktion mit nationalem Recht. Fragestellungen betreffen beispielsweise die optimale Zuweisung von Nutzungsrechten an international genutzten Ressourcen sowie die Motive und Auswirkungen der Implementierung und Sanktionierung internationalen Rechts.
Aufgaben:
Die Aufgaben umfassen wissenschaftliche und organisatorische Dienstleistungen im Rahmen des Graduiertenkollegs „Ökonomik der Internationalisierung des Rechts“.
Aufgabengebiet:
Aufgabe der Post-Doktorandin / des Post-Doktoranden ist die Unterstützung des Programmsprechers bei der Organisation und Koordination des Programms. Sie/Er dient als Bindeglied zu den Professoren und der Programmleitung.
Zu den Aufgaben gehören insbesondere die Organisation des Studienkomitees, in dessen Rahmen die Kollegiaten die Unterrichts- und Vortragsplanung mitgestalten, sowie die Leitung und Betreuung eines Studierendenkolloquiums.
Daneben obliegen der Post-Doktorandin / dem Post-Doktoranden die Planung des Webauftrittes des Graduiertenkollegs sowie die Betreuung von Gastwissenschaftlern.
Schließlich sind nach Bedarf wissenschaftliche Dienstleistungen im Bereich Forschung und Lehre, insbesondere die Mitwirkung an Forschungsprojekten des Institutes und die Übernahme von Lehraufgaben, zu erbringen.
Einstellungsvoraussetzungen:
Abschluss eines den Aufgaben entsprechenden Hochschulstudiums im Bereich der Rechts- oder Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Promotion.
Erwartet werden sehr gute englische und deutsche Sprachkenntnisse, Interesse an der ökonomischen Analyse des Rechts. Bereits erworbene Kenntnisse in diesem Bereich sind für die Bewerbung von Vorteil, werden aber nicht zwingend erwartet.

The Institute of Law and Economics of the University of Hamburg is offering a
post-doc position
for interested scholars at the earliest convenience of the applicants.
The position is part of the international graduate school 'The Economics of the Internationalisation of the Law’ which is sponsored by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).
The scholar will be compensated according to E 13 TV-L of the Tarifvertrag für den Öffentlichen Dienst der Länder. A table listing the TV-L compensations can be found here: http://oeffentlicher-dienst.info/tv-l/west/ (in German).
The position entails a work week of 39 hours. The employment contract is initially limited to a duration of two years according to § 2 Abs. 1 Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz.

The central idea of the new graduate school programme 'The Economics of the Internationalisation of the Law’ arises primarily from the application of the instruments developed within the economic analysis of the law to issues of international law and its interdependency with national legal norms. Among the questions covered by the topic are the optimal allocation and restriction of rights of use of internationally used resources and the motives and results of the implementation and sanctioning of international law.
Job Profile:
The applicant will be responsible for providing scientific and organisational services to the members of the Graduate School.
As part of these services he/she will be expected to assist the program director with the organisation and coordination of the programme. He/She will be the link between the directors, the professors and the graduate students of the programme.
As an especially important part of these organisational responsibilities he /she will be responsible for assisting the students with the planning and execution of self-organized student colloquia as well as the organisation of the study committee - an organisational body which will allow the students to partake in course and lecture planning.
In addition he/she will be responsible for designing and overseeing the web presence of the graduate school. He/She will also assisting visiting scholars. Lastly the applicant will be expected to teach courses and participate in the research projects of the Institute.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. degree in either law or economics.
Furthermore, we expect excellent German and English language skills as well as an basic interest in the field of Law and Economics. Previous work in this area is not expected but highly valued.
